Vizio 2020 TVs

Vizio TV 2020 was previewed at CES 2020. In June 2020, the full lineup of Vizio 2020 TVs was released. . This is a huge collection, covering a full range of sizes and features, and should satisfy TV buyers of all needs and budgets.

It’s worth noting right off the bat that there are no 8K TVs in the 2020 Vizio lineup. The thing is, Vizio focuses on providing quality TVs that cost less than $1,000, not outrageously expensive 8K TVs. There are several high-end 4K HDR TVs from the premium series in the 2020 Vizio lineup as well.

A great example is the new OLED series, which could be the cheapest among OLED TVs. The lineup also includes new versions of the Vizio P-Series Quantum X. These TVs are among the brightest. They are ready to compete in brightness and price with premium Samsung QLED TVs.

Vizio equips the vast majority of its TVs with the new IQ Ultra processor, which accelerates OS SmartCast 4.0 and improves HD upscaling. Will it compete with LG Alpha A9 processorsand A7 III is still unknown.

Last but not least, gamers can look forward to higher frame rates in 2020 Vizio TVs. It’s all thanks to support for VRR over HDMI 2.1 and the new Vizio ProGaming Engine, which offers faster response times and lower input lag for the M-Series, P-Series and P Series Quantum X.

Vizio OLED h2

The most basic addition to Vizio’s audiovisual arsenal includes new OLED TVs coming in 2020 in two screen sizes – 55 and 65 inches. They are not only the first in the history of the company. The 55-inch version is expected to cost $1,300, making it the cheapest OLED TV on the market.

In terms of specifications, Vizio OLED h2 will use the new Vizio IQ Ultra image processor and support VRR up to 120Hz. Visio said the TV covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color space, but is limited to only 800 nits of peak brightness.

Unlike the other Vizio 2020 TVs, which will be available at the end of June, the Vizio h2 is scheduled to go on sale in the fall. By then, LG will have the OLED BX available, and Sony will have the A8 OLED. These two brands will have the edge within a few months. US model names: Vizio OLED55-h2 ($1,300), OLED65-h2 ($2,000).

Vizio QX-h2 P Series

Despite the new OLED TVs, 90% of Vizio’s 2020 TVs are still full local dimming LED-LCDs. Vizio is one of the few companies that provides consumers with information about the controllable areas on each of its TVs. This makes it easy to predict what contrast the consumer should expect.

At the top of the Vizio LED-LCD are the Vizio P-Series Quantum and Vizio P-Series Quantum X, which are released for the second consecutive year. The P-series Quantum X is the flagship series given its enormous peak brightness.

QX-h2 sales start date is scheduled for June. The buyer will receive a choice of three sizes (65, 75 and 85 inches). Vizio P65QX-h2 will cost $1,500. The Vizio P75QX-h2 TV will start at $2,000 and the Vizio P85QX-h2 will start at $3,000.

All models above use the new IQ Ultra image processor and VRR up to 120Hz. The 65- and 85-inch TVs reach a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits and have 384 and 792 local dimming zones, respectively. The 75-inch version only reaches 2800 nits with 480 controllable dimming zones.

Vizio Q-h2 P Series

With the Vizio P-Series Quantum, the customer still gets an IQ Ultra image processor and VRR up to 120Hz. However, the brightness of Vizio Q-h2 P Series TVs is significantly lower. It sits at 1200 nits. The series consists of two diagonals: 65 inches with 200 controllable zones, and 75 inches with 240 controllable local dimming zones.

Such “losses” are compensated by a cheaper price. A regular P-series Quantum is cheaper than a P-series Quantum X by about $300. The start date of sales is also scheduled for the end of June 2020. In terms of pricing, the Vizio P65Q9-h2 will cost $1200 and Vizio P75Q9-h2 $1700.

Vizio M-Series Q8

As in 2019, Vizio M-Series has two different versions that are very different from each other. Both series have a 60Hz refresh rate. Also note that the Vizio M-Series use the IQ Active image processor instead of the IQ Ultra found in higher-end models.

This is where the similarities end. The best of the two is the Vizio M-Series Q8, which is only available in 55- or 65-inch screen sizes. Both models have 90 controlled zones, which is much less than the P series, but much more than the M-Series Q7 models. Vizio M55Q8-h2 starts at $550 and Vizio M65Q8-h2 starts at $750.

Vizio M-Series Q7

Vizio M-Series Q7 is available in 50″, 55″ and 65″ sizes. The first two models use 16 controllable zones, while the 65-inch TV has 30 zones. These TVs also use the IQ Active image processor.

According to specifications provided by Vizio, Vizio’s M Q7 series achieves 400 to 600 nits of peak brightness. Unlike Q8, Q7 is much more affordable. The Vizio M50Q7-h2 starts at $400. The 55-inch Vizio M55Q7-h2 starts at $500 and the Vizio M65Q7-h2 starts at $700.

Vizio V-Series

The V-Series consists of a number of different models, all of which use full array local dimming backlighting and an IQ Active processor. The good news is that all of the TVs below support four types of HDR (HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG) as well as the flagship series. The Vizio V-Series is entry-level in terms of specs.

On the other hand, the series offers a 70-inch screen for $660, which is a very competitive price. Vizio V-Series includes models with diagonals from 40 to 75 inches. Price Vizio V405 – $230, Vizio V435 – $280, Vizio V505 – $300, Vizio V555 – $340, Vizio V585 – $350, Vizio V605 – $400, Vizio V655-H9- $470, Vizio V705-h4 – $660, Vizio V755-h5 – $800.
