Nintendo Switch OLED (Renewed) | $348.99 $304.99 at Amazon
Save $44 – The Nintendo Switch OLED sticks close to that $349.99 MSRP, but you can pick up a renewed console for just over $40 off that price at Amazon right now.
Nintendo Switch OLED Tears of the Kingdom edition (Renewed) | $359.99 $319.99 at Amazon
Save $40 – You can score a renewed Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch OLED for just $319.99 right now. That’s $40 off the new price and the cheapest we’ve seen this particular edition.
Nintendo Switch | Mario Kart 8 Deluxe / Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe / Super Mario Odyssey | $339.95 at Walmart
It’s important to note that this bundle should really be $299. 99, but with no other options on the shelves right now and the fact that you’re still technically saving $10 on the full price of the game you choose, it’s still an ok option this week.
Best Nintendo Switch bundles – UK
Nintendo Switch OLED – Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Limited Edition | £309 £299 at Currys
Save £10 – It’s not a bundle (the game itself isn’t included), but we had to drop this £10 discount on the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet edition of the Nintendo Switch OLED. That’s a rare discount on not just the OLED device, but a special edition no less.
Nintendo Switch OLED – Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Limited Edition | £319 £309 at Currys
The newest addition is the Tears of the Kingdom Switch with Hylian illustrations displayed on the dock and controllers. It’s stunning! And will likely sell out reasonably fast.
Note: Tears of the Kingdom the game is not included in this bundle
Nintendo Switch OLED | Lego 2K Drive | £321.99 at Argos
Argos is saving you plenty of cash on Lego 2K Drive when you pick up a Nintendo Switch OLED console right now. These two together would normally set you back around £349 so there’s some solid cash shaved off here.
Nintendo Switch OLED | Minecraft Legends | £329.99 at Very
With the standard Nintendo Switch OLED costing £309.99, you’re grabbing Minecraft Legends for just £20 thanks to this bundle offer at Very. This game only ever drops down to £29.99 when on sale, and is usually £45.
Nintendo Switch OLED | The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom | £339 at Currys
Tears of the Kingdom is still a big deal, so scoring a copy for just £30 alongside a console is an excellent Nintendo Switch deal. This £49.99 game has only ever shaved £5 off its price in the past.
Nintendo Switch OLED | Animal Crossing: New Horizons | £339 at Currys
We generally only ever see Animal Crossing on sale for around £36.99 – so grabbing it for £30 in Currys’ latest Nintendo Switch deals is a solid prospect.
Nintendo Switch OLED | Mario Kart 8 Deluxe | £339 at Currys
It might be older, but Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has never dipped below £30 in price. That means grabbing it for £339 with a Switch OLED console is a fantastic discount.

What is the Nintendo Switch price?
To make sure you’re getting a good deal, it’s important to know the base prices of Switch consoles. In the US especially, we’re used to seeing some merchants jack up the cost when rivals have sold out.
The normal Nintendo Switch price is $299 in the US while the UK RRP is now £259 (dropping by £20 in September 2021). As for the Switch Lite, the US MSRP is $199 and the UK’s price is set at £199. The Nintendo Switch OLED price is $349 in the US and £309 in the UK.
Don’t be caught out, if there’s a listing that goes above these prices, double-check that it’s part of a bundle or includes something noteworthy – and always ensure it’s from a trusted seller!
Which Nintendo Switch should you buy?
There are now (or soon to be) three models of Nintendo Switch to choose from. Each one does offer a different experience, though, so it’s important to choose the right version for you.
- Nintendo Switch (standard): This is the standard console experience as introduced back in 2017 (though most consoles on the shelves these days are the 2019 versions with a boosted battery life). Offering detachable controllers that can be shared between two people and a portable screen that allows you to play on TV or in handheld mode, it’s perfect for multiplayer and single-player games.
- Nintendo Switch Lite: The Nintendo Switch Lite is a handheld-only alternative, pitched as an entry-level console for kids or anyone playing on the go. While it’s a lot cheaper, it can’t be used on TV, doesn’t have detachable controllers, and lacks some features like joypad rumble. However, it will still play all the same games.
- Nintendo Switch OLED model: The latest version of the Switch features a 7-inch OLED screen, an improved kickstand, and a slightly more streamlined build but aside from a few external updates, it offers all the same functionality as the standard Switch, complete with the same performance as well.
Which Nintendo Switch bundles are available?
The only games we’ve seen with bundle options on the Nintendo Switch are Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Diablo 3, Splatoon 2, Fortnite, Fortnite Wildcat, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Tennis Aces and 1-2 Switch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Red & Blue, Pokemon Zacian and Zamazenda (Switch Lite), Fortnite, Monster Hunter Rise, and Dragon Quest XI S. However, it’s worth noting that many of these special editions are no longer easy to find.
While UK retailers pair games and consoles themselves, we see far fewer Nintendo Switch bundles available in the US. That’s because they are generally only available as part of a limited edition console release, or as part of a major sales period. You can still find these Nintendo Switch bundles on the shelves, but it’s well worth making sure you’re getting a fair price for your gear. Price inflation is rife here, with some third-party sellers going above $1,000 for rarer bundles. You should be paying $299 to $319 at the most.
Are Nintendo Switch bundles worth it?
It’s easy to fall into a Nintendo Switch bundle trap. Retailers can sometimes charge more for a game when bundled in with a console than they’re actually selling it for themselves separately. That means it’s well worth checking for current deals on the game you are choosing, as sometimes bundle prices are set based upon an MSRP that doesn’t reflect a game’s current price.
However, if you spot a Nintendo Switch bundle with a game or accessory for the same price as the console by itself it’s an automatic winner.
You’ll need something to keep that console safe – we’re rounding up all the best Nintendo Switch cases available right now. We’re also showing you how to find the right Nintendo Switch Online price for you, and rounding up all the latest Ring Fit Adventure deals as well.

Nintendo Switch with games deals – best Switch bundles 2023
So you’ve decided to join the Nintendo family and are looking for a Nintendo Switch with games? Well, you’ve come to the right place. It only makes sense for first-time buyers to get a bundle so they’ve got something they can get started with right away, and as Switch experts, we’ve picked out the best options currently available.
Naturally, you’re going to want to get one that comes with one of the best Switch games, and if you’re somebody who wants to play a lot with friends or family, then you’ll no doubt be drawn to Switch multiplayer games too. As one of the best portable gaming consoles, it has quite an extensive library, but we’ve included a range of different options to cater to the needs of all our readers.
Nintendo Switch with games deals:
1. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom + TOTK Switch OLED
This is probably the best Nintendo Switch bundle you can get right now, and its costs around $429.98 (£379.98)
With the release of Tears of the Kingdom, the gaming community has once again been reminded why Zelda is generally considered to be one of the best gaming franchises of all time. Even if you’ve never tried a game in the series before, this is a fantastic option, not only as your first Zelda game, but as your first Switch game too.
The scale of this game is absolutely fantastic. Not only does it give you an enormous overworld to explore, which is jam-packed with side-quests and secrets, but this is a game that rewards your creativity too. At the heart of TOTK, there’s a mechanic (the Ultrahand) that allows Link to attach different objects to one another, which opens the doors to endless possibilities. You can build cars, planes, and boats, and that’s just scratching the surface.
Because of the focus on creation, TOTK is a game that everybody will approach differently. Facing a challenge? Well, there isn’t going to be a simple solution that you need to figure out, there’ll be loads of ways to overcome it, and figuring out an unusual way to do something, which you know not a lot of people will have done, can be very rewarding.
You can read our The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom review to find out more about what makes the game so great. Nintendo clearly had a lot of faith in it too, as it released a special version of the Switch OLED to coincide with the game, and if you’re a collector, that will be a pretty fantastic thing for you to own.
You should also read out Switch OLED review, which will tell you everything you need to know about what makes this particular version of the Switch so good. Our best Nintendo Switch console guide will also be a valuable point of reference if you’d like to know the unique benefits of each model.
2.
Super Mario: Choose One – Switch Bundle
The Super Mario: Choose One bundle lets you choose between three fantastic Mario games, and it costs around $299.99. Though this specific bundle isn’t available in the UK, you can find one with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe specifically.
Mario is the biggest reason that a lot of people buy Nintendo consoles, and we reckon there are probably lots of people who want to play more of his games after The Super Mario Bros. Movie. If you’re one of those people or just someone who wants to get a Mario game with their Switch, this bundle will be an appealing choice, as it gives you a selection of three popular Mario games to include with your console.
One option is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, arguably the best in the Mario Kart series. Bowser, Peach, Donkey Kong, and other Mario Kart characters are playable in this game, which sees you whizzing around on zero-gravity racetracks. This particular game even includes a crossover element, with F-Zero tracks, and characters from Splatoon, Animal Crossing, and Zelda. It’s a whole lot of fun, especially with friends, and easy to see how it became the best-selling Switch game.
If you prefer a single-player experience, then you might want to bundle it with Super Mario Odyssey. It’s much more open and exploration-focused than most other Mario games and sees you jumping around and collecting moons in a number of stunning locations, including the iconic New Donk City. It’s a modern twist on the Super Mario 64 formula, and well worth a try if you’re interested in Mario or Switch platformers in general.
The third choice is New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. This is a classic Mario game, a 2D side-scroller that sees you stomping on Goombas and Koopas, eating mushrooms, and sliding down flag poles. Part of what makes this game so appealing is its large overworld which you can explore in more detail by finding hidden exits from the levels. With multiplayer available for up to four players in total, it offers a great single and multiplayer experience.
These are three of the best Mario games, and each one scratches a slightly different itch. Any one of them would be a fantastic choice for your first Switch game. You can also read our Nintendo Switch review if you want to know more about the standard version of the console.
3. Animal Crossing: New Horizons + Switch Lite
This bundle for Animal Crossing: New Horizons with a Switch Lite costs around $259.98 (£229.99).
The Switch Lite cannot be docked and is exclusively a handheld console. The Animal Crossing series, meanwhile, is one that has always worked best on portable consoles, since you can then check in on your village whenever you want. Bundling Animal Crossing: New Horizons with the Switch Lite is a very smart move.
You’ve probably already heard of this game because practically everybody was playing it during the lockdowns in 2020. For those who don’t know what it’s about, ACNH sees you taking control of a villager who has just moved to an island with a few houses on it – what happens next is up to you.
This is another game with a strong emphasis on creativity, and you can essentially design your island to do whatever you want. You’ve got your house which you can expand and fill with hundreds of pieces of furniture, then you can place any treasures you like across your island, and even terraform the landscape to look exactly how you want it to. Maybe you could even recreate an iconic location you’re familiar with?
Of course, it all takes work and money though. Your villager will be working hard, harvesting fruits, running errands, and catching fish in order to gain as much cash as possible to pay for the enormous island renovations. The whole process can become enormously addictive, and it would be an ideal first game on your Switch Lite.
4. Switch Lite with SanDisk 128GB microSDXC-card
This bundle is ideal for anyone who plays a lot of digital games and it costs around $234.98 (unfortunately, this bundle doesn’t seem to be available anywhere in the UK).
This bundle doesn’t actually come along with a game, but the SanDisk microSDXC-Card is something that is going to be really valuable to a lot of people. This is especially true for those who chose the Switch Lite because they want to game on the go, and won’t necessarily want to carry game cards around everywhere with them.
Aside from the fact that you can download all the big new Switch games in the Nintendo eShop, the console is also well-known for having a huge library of digital exclusives available to download. Whether it’s the Nintendo Switch Online N64 games or the many Switch indie games, there are a lot of games you might want to download, and so the extra room from the microSDXC-card will be particularly useful.
If you’re wondering what you should download on your Switch Lite, we have a few recommendations. Demon Turf offers a unique, highly stylized platforming experience, the Blossom Tales harken back to the 2D top-down Zelda games in the most beautiful way, Kaze and the Wild Masks is closer to classic Donkey Kong Country games than anything else, most of the Final Fantasy games are up for download (play them all), Crypt of the NecroDancer is one of the overall best Switch rhythm games, A Hat in Time is a fantastic evolution of the 3D platforming genre, and all those games are only just scratching the surface. With a MicroSD card, you’ll be able to carry a huge library of games with you at all times.
5. Nintendo Switch Must-Play Bundle
This bundle will give you a comprehensive introduction to the console and it costs around $579.99.
Though this bundle is only available from Walmart (that we’re aware of) it’s one of the best ways for you to get started with the Nintendo Switch because it comes packaged with four of the best games on the console: Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Splatoon 2, plus a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
Breath of the Wild was pretty much the game that put the Switch on the map (even if it was on Wii U too). Even though its sequel, Tears of the Kingdom has since been released and met with much praise, there are still plenty of reasons to play BOTW and it stands as an amazing, unique experience of its own.
Splatoon 2 is in a similar situation – Splatoon 3 may have come out, but its prequel still has unique reasons to play it (including its story mode). The biggest appeal of the game is its multiplayer mode, where you strive to cover a map with as much of a certain colored ink as possible, while your opponents strive to cover it in a different colored ink. It’s a fantastic formula, and one it’s easy to get hooked on.
We’ve already talked about how great Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Odyssey are above, so we won’t repeat ourselves. Needless to say, they’re games that you’ll want to play, and a bundle that contains both of them is one that’s definitely worth going for.
How we chose the best Switch bundles
When putting together this list, there were a few key considerations that we kept in mind:
- Switch model: there are now three different Nintendo Switch consoles, and each has unique strengths and will appeal to different people. We were keen to include not just the standard Switch, but also the OLED and the Switch Lite
- Quality games: we weren’t going to recommend a Switch bundled together with something that we don’t think people are likely to enjoy
Pricing: these bundles cover a lot of ground, price-wise, and we wanted to try and accommodate different budgets as much as possible - Availability: some bundles can be weirdly difficult to find, so we only wanted to include options that are readily available online and easy to find
For more Nintendo Switch content, you might want to check out our guides on the best Nintendo Switch headsets, or the best Nintendo Switch RPGs. If you’re going to buy a Switch for the first time sometime soon, we honestly kind of envy all the great experiences you have ahead of you.

Overview of Nintendo Switch OLED. Compare with previous versions | Games and the future on 2×2
Quite recently, to be more precise – on October 22, a new version of Nintendo’s handheld game console called Switch OLED was released. 2×2 digital producer Aleksey Abanin has been testing it for several weeks, playing different titles (both old and completely new) and now he is in a hurry to share his emotions, which are quite a lot. Although initially it seemed that there would not be much of them at all, since little has changed in terms of technical characteristics.

First, I’ll write a small disclaimer. I’m a big fan of Nintendo consoles: I played Castlevania and Cooking Mama in pairs at the university, later at home I played mainly sports games on the Nintendo Wii, and when the Nintendo Switch appeared on sale, I grabbed the first version with the great (who would doubted) The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. You can still remember the very prehistoric times when we all gathered to play Dendy (suddenly, who doesn’t know that this is a clone of the NES console), but I don’t remember those times at all.
Why am I writing this disclaimer: on the one hand, Sonyboys and PC-boyars, reading the article, will understand where such love for Switch comes from in principle. On the other hand, the experience of using Nintendo consoles is so great that I know all the critical points and problems all too well and get to the bottom of them first.
Let’s start in order. The first thing that pleases in the new Switch is the packaging. In general, it is strange that in the reviews of tech bloggers they say little about this, although videos in the “unpacking” genre are still gaining fabulous numbers of views on YouTube. Of course, I’m not talking about the cardboard itself and the box, but what lies inside it. If four years ago you just bought a Nintendo Switch and did not pay much attention to the content, now it all looks very unusual.

Nowadays, with total optimization, most companies cut the delivery set to a minimum. Take the same iPhone: if earlier with a new phone you were also given a charging wire and a power adapter with a bunch of different waste paper (and some time ago – headphones), now when you buy a new gadget, you get only the gadget itself. All the joy of unpacking is gone. Following Apple, this practice was quickly supported by other manufacturers, primarily smartphones. But when you buy a Nintendo Switch OLED, you get a huge box, which you will spend a lot of time unpacking, as a result of which you will get a lot of joy. In the kit itself, nothing has changed compared to the Nintendo Switch, but in 2021 the context itself has changed.
The kit includes: the console itself, joycons, additional attachments for them, a docking station, hdmi-cable, charging adapter and a frame for creating a full-fledged gamepad from joycons. I also advise you to separately buy an official case for the Switch: it has not changed much in shape (there are still the same pockets for cartridges and accessories inside), but it seems to have become stronger and more stylish. And even in the box with the case comes not only he himself, but also additional protective films. Is it all the little things? Yes. But nice little things. How much joy unpacking the Switch brings, you can look at the recordings of our stream, which we recently held (we also tried cartridges for taste, where without it).
Before moving on to the most important thing, let’s once again pay attention to accessories. Of these, only the docking station has technically changed. In addition to the fact that it now looks more noticeable in the color of the console and has a better build quality, it also received a new ethernet port for more stable online gaming when connected to a TV. The station itself has become a little wider, so the screen is no longer scratched when connected to it. About “more noticeable” – this, if anything, is not just a point for the sake of a point. I personally lost the completely gray and boring dock of the first Switch among my own trash after a couple of months, so this is important.

But let’s talk about the console itself. Grabbing the Nintendo Switch OLED for the first time in your hands, you immediately get the feeling that the assembly has changed. Now the console seems to be more premium in quality. The main problem used to be that the joycons had a lot of play in their grooves, especially when used for a long time. Now they stand more firmly. Also, many gamers were indignant that the sticks completely deteriorate over time: personally, on my first Switch, the left stick began to pull to the left a year after constant use. It is too early to draw conclusions here, but there is a feeling that everything will work much longer and better. The company itself told at the conference that it had greatly reworked the production process of joycons and finalized the sticks – it seems like wear resistance has increased.
Another major change in the case – now (finally) the console has a normal adjustable stand on the back of the width of the entire screen made of durable plastic. Looking at the little misunderstanding that was supposed to be a stand on the old Switch is simply impossible without tears. Not only was the angle of inclination previously impossible to adjust, and its width was so ridiculous that the console constantly fell, so, I remember, on the first day I just broke it (it’s good that it could be safely attached back).

And now about the main change – the OLED screen (well, you understood from the name). In size, it has become larger – now 7 inches. The first version of Switch has 6. 2, while Switch Lite has 5.5 in general. And, despite the fact that the resolution remains the same, the Switch OLED feels like a completely new console due to the new screen. But it’s not just about the size – because of the new matrix, it has become much brighter, more contrast, clearer and more saturated.
I remember with pain the moments when, during the next passage of BioShock in the daytime, it was not so much the dark underwater world of the city of Rapture that was visible on the screen, but my reflection – I had to play in the evenings and at night with the lights off.

So all the games on the Nintendo Switch OLED look so much better that it is simply impossible to return to the old version. And if you, being an avid fan of the first Switch, just want to take a couple of minutes and test the new version, then I would not advise you to do this – you will immediately have to run to buy Switch OLED. Not only has the screen changed, but the same assembly makes the first version of the Switch after the Switch OLED seem like just a Chinese knockoff.
There are a few other minor changes, but you’ve definitely read about them in the datasheets and news. For example, the built-in memory has become larger: now 64 gigabytes, not 32. But I advise you to immediately buy a separate microsd card so that you don’t worry about the number of games on your console at all.
The Switch OLED has also improved both the speakers themselves and the sound quality. But more recently, in the new firmware, four years later, they added the ability to connect wireless headphones, so I personally did not pay attention to this change at all. Plus (quite a trifle) the power button was made wider, and now it became much more pleasant for my fat fingers to launch the console.
But where are the criticisms and minuses? They are, but there are not so many of them – after all, the release is not so cardinal. Although for many this is a minus: of course, I would like to receive another revolution from Nintendo, a technical leap and at least a 4K screen (we wrote about this in a separate article), but, on the other hand, why should the company do all this? Switch is the best portable console right now, and there is simply no competition in the market. When Steam Deck comes out, then we’ll talk.

The announcement teased by Gabe Newell happened unexpectedly, but what a surprise!

I would also like to note that the process of transferring games from one Switch to another is made wildly inconvenient. You can’t just insert an old microsd and continue playing as if nothing had happened: you need to download all the games again, and you can get saves from the cloud only if you have a subscription to Switch Online (what? Yes!), And she, let me remind you, costs money. So in the first days of use, I had to go crazy a little.
