For the first time, Roomba’s robotic vacuum cleaner features a patented technology, the Visual Alignment and Mapping System (vSLAM), which registers landmarks, tracks movement, and remembers the cleaning path. Therefore, Roomba does not leave the chosen trajectory and knows where it has already been. For this on top of Roomba 981 has a camera that tilts forward and upward at an angle of approximately 45 degrees.

The iAdapt® 2.0 navigation system, using visual localizations (using a video camera), helps Roomba 981 easily and efficiently navigate all areas of our house and track your location.
