Ugreen released their wireless keyboard and I’ve been using it as my main keyboard for a couple of weeks now, also for writing reviews. The keyboard at Ugreen turned out to be good and at the same time very affordable. This is a membrane type keyboard with comfortable buttons, long working time and protection against moisture and dust. And what’s more important, you can take the keyboard right away in a set with a mouse and connect both devices to one receiver, getting a cool wireless kit.

I don’t need the kit, so I took only the keyboard

When buying, you need to choose the option with the Russian layout. Ugreen completely localized the keyboard and even the box with the description and instructions for it are in Russian.

On the back you can find the technical data and features of the model. The keyboard supports Plug and Play, requires no driver installation, and works with Windows, Linux, MacOs, as well as Android and IOS operating systems.

The keyboard is narrow and has a compact size, which will be relevant for users with limited workspace.

It is just over 41 cm long and only 11 cm wide.

At the same time, it has a full-fledged digital block, which will be convenient for office applications and tables, as well as in some games. At the top, there are 12 function buttons that launch frequently used applications, and also allow you to control the player and sound.

The buttons are recessed for fingertips, which makes typing comfortable. But the clicks seemed hard, after the more expensive Logetech keyboard it was unusual that you need to make more effort to press. Also, the keyboard seemed louder, the clatter from pressing is quite noticeable. But if you look at the price, then everything falls into place. It is naive to expect softness and noiselessness from a budget keyboard.

The hands are full size and have a logical position between the main and number block.

The Enter button is straight and duplicated on the digital block.

The modes are indicated by red LEDs above the digital block.

The back is raised relative to the front, the angle of inclination is 6 degrees.

The slope is realized not due to the legs, as is usually the case, but due to the very shape of the case. Regarding the latter, I can note the high quality of plastic. It is pleasant to the touch, not easily soiled and looks good.

There are no questions about ergonomics, it is convenient to work on the keyboard. Even with long typing, the hands do not get tired. Well, the absence of wires adds both aesthetics and convenience. After work, the keyboard can be folded into the table and it will not take up space.

Turning over, you can see that the back part is made in the form of a step, which actually provides a slight slope. There are rubber feet at the corners that provide stability and prevent the keyboard from sliding on smooth surfaces. A hatch was placed in the center behind which there is a place for a battery.

There is only one battery, size AA (finger-type). According to the manufacturer, one battery will last for a year. There is also a regular place for the receiver, which is convenient to use when moving the keyboard.

As I said at the very beginning, when ordering, you can choose a kit with a wireless mouse. This mouse has its own separate receiver, but according to the instructions on the product page, you can configure it so that the keyboard and mouse work from one receiver.

Well, now disassembly. The keyboard is membrane type, which has a positive effect on water protection. Nothing will happen to her if you spill water or a drink on her. In extreme cases, you can unwind and wipe from the inside, then assemble it and it will continue to work without any consequences.

In the corner is a small board with a control chip and an antenna.

The membranes are very decent. For cheap keyboards, they are usually rated for 1 million keystrokes, but here the manufacturer claimed a resource of 10 million keystrokes.

Well, the very structure of the buttons. They are fixed in the seats and, when pressed, are limited by the sides of the hull.

In general, Ugreen turned out to be a good inexpensive keyboard. Its budget gives only tangible button travel and a distinct click, but at the same time it looks great, takes up little space and works for a whole year on one battery. For home use or as an office option, a good choice.
