90 DAY WARRANTY
All products sold from TekRefurbs include a 90 Day Warranty.
If you need to return a used system, it is your
responsibility to keep a separate backup copy of the system software,
application software and data, and disable any security passwords. You will be
responsible for reinstalling all such software, data and passwords. Data recovery
is not included in the warranty service and TekRefurbs is not responsible for
data that may be lost or damaged during transit or a repair.
TekRefurbs warranty obligations are limited to the terms set
forth below:

against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 90 Day date of original retail purchase.
If a defect exists, TekRefurbs will honor the warranty in
one of the following ways;
(1) Repair the product at no charge, using new or refurbished

equivalent to the original product, or
(3) Refund the purchase price of the product.

Test & Review: Dell XPS 17 9730 is an Expensive But Powerful Laptop
With the latest generation of the XPS 17 laptop, Dell has upgraded to the latest NVIDIA and Intel hardware, a Raptor Lake H processor paired with a GeForce RTX 40 generation Ada Lovelace graphics card. Which allows us to hope for a decent increase in performance, especially in terms of graphics, since laptops are equipped up to the flagship GeForce RTX 4080. Let’s see how the laptop performs in tests. We got Dell XPS 17 9730 with Core i9-13900H processor and GeForce RTX 4070 graphics.
At Mobile World Congress, a few weeks after the announcement of mobile Raptor Lake CPUs and GeForce RTX 40 graphics cards at CES, Dell introduced an update to the popular XPS lineups. Depending on your budget and configuration, you can choose an Intel Core i5-1300H, Core i7-13700H, or even a Core i9-13900H processor with discrete GeForce graphics in the RTX 40 line. The progress is quite significant, since the previous generation had a GeForce RTX 3060 maximum, now models up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 are also available. But if you look closely, Dell limits TGP to a maximum of 70W, including Precision Boost, to keep the classic ultrabook compact and light.
Otherwise, much remains identical to the previous generation. The Dell XPS 17 (9730) is equipped with 8 to 64 GB of DDR5 memory, there is enough space inside for two M.2 SSDs with a PCI Express 4.0 connection, which allows you to install up to 8 TB of capacity. The display diagonal is 17 inches, as the name suggests.
The base configuration offers a 1,920 x 1,200 pixel IPS panel, but you can pay extra for resolutions up to 3,840 x 2,400 pixels and touch input. However, there is no OLED option, unlike many competitors in this class.
Modern interfaces available such as Thunderbolt 4, WiFi 6E or memory card slot. The laptop has a built-in battery with a capacity of 87 to 97 Wh. Note the all-metal body up to 19.5 mm thick.
Dell XPS 17 (9730) at the time of publication has not yet appeared in Russia. In Europe, prices start at €3,000, but you’ll pay more for more powerful configurations. We received a high-end configuration for testing.

Specifications
The “heart” of the tested notebook was the Intel Core i9-13900H processor, the fastest model that can be selected for the Dell XPS 17 (9730) configuration. The processor belongs to the Raptor Lake generation and offers quite typical performance for a powerful mobile CPU.
There are 14 cores available, namely six productive and eight efficient ones, they work with a Turbo frequency of up to 5.4 GHz. Integrated Iris Xe graphics offer 96 EU units and frequencies up to 1.55 GHz, but for demanding applications and games there is a discrete graphics card, in our case NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070.
The video card was introduced at the beginning of the year with new Intel CPUs, it contains up to 4,608 Ada Lovelace generation stream processors, and is also equipped with up to 8 GB of GDDR6 memory. But Dell limits the TDP and TGP levels due to the thickness of the laptop and the restrictions on the cooling and power system. PL1 and PL2 of the processor are set to 75 and 115 W, the graphics card is limited to 70 W, which is noticeably lower than the possible 115 W. The clock frequency is declared not lower than 1.700 MHz.

800 MHz and 1 TB NVMe SSD with PCI Express 4.0 connectivity and good performance. We received a laptop with a 17-inch display with a resolution of 3.840 x 2.400 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Quite a classic IPS panel with wide color gamut and HDR support, touch input is also supported, which allows you to control your finger or stylus. Overall, our Dell XPS 17 (9730) is well equipped in terms of CPU and GPU, display, memory and storage.
But everything has a price: Dell is asking €4,300 for our configuration.
