If you’re primarily an FPS player, the best Corsair mouse we’ve tested is the Corsair SABRE RGB PRO Wireless. This lightweight option has a right-handed shape that feels comfortable if you have medium or large hands, even during long gaming sessions, though it’s a little unwieldy if you have really small hands. It has remarkably low click latency, and like other Corsair offerings, you can adjust a range of settings to your liking using Corsair’s iCUE software. This mouse also natively supports a maximum polling rate of up to 2000Hz, which produces slightly smoother, more consistent feeling movements compared to most gaming mice, which have a standard 1000Hz polling rate.

Note that the overall size of this mouse is fairly large, so if you have smaller hands, you may have difficulty reaching both side buttons comfortably. Also, while the feet on this mouse are decent, they don’t glide as well as those on similar models from other major manufacturers, especially on softer mousepads or directly on desk surfaces. It’s an outstanding choice for FPS gaming and delivers high performance with plenty of customization options.

The best Corsair gaming mouse for MMOs is the SCIMITAR RGB ELITE. This wired model feels sturdy and well-built and has a full 12-button panel that you can fully load with spells, buffs, debuffs, macros, and any other commands you need for your rotation. Unusually for a mouse of this type, you can slide this entire panel forward or backward on the frame to better suit your hand size and grip type. Using the customization software, you can adjust sensor settings, reprogram all buttons, and create custom macros and control profiles tailored to specific games.

In terms of gaming performance, this mouse has a very accurate, responsive sensor and excellent click latency, delivering a snappy gaming experience. Unfortunately, its braided cable isn’t very flexible and retains some persistent kinks from how it’s packaged. As a result, the cable may catch onto things on your desk and create drag. This mouse is also fairly heavy, so despite the comfortable shape suitable for all hand sizes, your hand may tire during longer sessions, especially if you play on lower CPI sensitivity settings. That said, this is an incredible mouse for MMO gaming if you’re looking for something with plenty of programmable buttons and customization, and it’s one of the best MMO mice we’ve tested.

If you’re the kind of gamer who plays an assortment of different games in various genres, we recommend the Corsair IRONCLAW RGB Wireless. It has a right-handed shape with a sloping thumb rest, making it a comfortable option, even for long multi-hour gaming sessions. Build quality is excellent, and it feels very sturdy in hand. There are 10 buttons, five of which are side buttons. You can customize all the buttons on this mouse and adjust other settings using Corsair’s companion software. The click latency and sensor performance are also outstanding and will be sufficient for almost any type of game.

This is a heavy mouse, so we don’t recommend it if you only play fast-paced competitive titles where quick, accurate movements are essential. It’s also quite large, which means it provides great support for larger hands, but if you have small hands, it will likely feel too wide, and you’ll have difficulty reaching the side buttons closest to the front. Note that this mouse connects wirelessly with an included USB receiver or via Bluetooth. If this isn’t important to you, this mouse is also available as a wired-only model that can typically be found for less.

If you need the best portable option, we recommend the Corsair HARPOON RGB Wireless. This mouse has a very compact shape, making it easy to toss into a laptop bag or pocket. The low click latency and consistent sensor deliver high-end performance for any gaming on the go, whether casual or competitive. This mouse also feels very sturdy, and you can connect it with its USB receiver or via Bluetooth, giving it added versatility for light office work or everyday browsing.

Unfortunately, it lacks onboard memory, so you can’t use your custom settings on multiple devices without installing the software. Additionally, while its feet are decent, they aren’t as high-quality as similar offerings from other brands, and they have some sharp edges, which can make for some minor drag, especially on softer surfaces. With that said, it has an unusually high level of customization and gaming performance for its price point, and it’s an impressive option whether you need something for on-the-go gaming or everyday use.

Compared to other brands

  • Software has good compatibility and offers plenty of customization options.
Corsair’s iCUE software is fully compatible with Windows and macOS and offers a wide range of customizable options for RGB lighting, surface calibration, CPI settings, onboard memory for custom profiles, and more.
  • Excellent durability.
The majority of Corsair’s mice feel extremely well-made and durable.
  • Many programmable buttons.
Many Corsair mice have a good number of additional buttons, and you can typically remap all of them using the customization software.
  • Heavyweight customization software.
While Corsair’s iCUE software has good compatibility and many customizable options, it receives criticism from some gamers for consuming unnecessary system resources. Furthermore, some settings require you to keep the software open to function as you can’t save them to onboard memory. An example of one of these features is RGB lighting, which reverts to a default rainbow effect if you close the software.
  • Stiff cables.
Corsair’s wired mice generally have slightly stiffer, more rigid cables than some competitors, and they can create drag when running across your desk.

Corsair vs Razer

Razer makes a wide range of gaming peripherals, with specialized lineups designed for specific gaming genres. Razer’s technology has recently jumped slightly ahead of the rest of the industry in select areas, notably in motion-sync implementation and lightweight construction. Razer and Corsair have experimented with other technologies, including polling rates above 1000Hz and optical switches. However, Razer has invested more heavily into these technologies and distributed them more widely across their product lineup while they only feature on a select few Corsair mice. For comparison’s sake, you can see our recommendations for the best Razer mice here.

Corsair vs Logitech

Corsair’s mice are geared exclusively towards gamers, while Logitech produces both gaming models and a wide range of mice for work and everyday use. Corsair has been quicker to experiment with emerging technologies, including polling rates higher than 1000Hz and optical switches, although Logitech has also invested more in producing select ultralightweight models than Corsair. Recent gaming mice from both companies at a budget and mid-range price range are close competitors. However, Logitech has a small number of premium mice with somewhat better performance than Corsair’s comparable upper lineup. You can check out our recommendations of the best Logitech mice here.

Corsair vs SteelSeries

SteelSeries first rose to prominence alongside the rise in popularity of esports and competitive gaming, and like Corsair, it produces a wide range of gaming peripherals for various gaming genres. Recent SteelSeries releases have emphasized lightweight construction, particularly in designing more MMO or multi-genre-focused models, which have traditionally been heavier. Conversely, Corsair hasn’t focused as heavily on lightweight construction but has experimented with polling rates over 1000Hz and implementing optical switches. You can see our recommendations for the best SteelSeries mice here.

Corsair makes a wide range of gaming mice to suit various hand sizes, playstyles, and budgets. Overall, these mice have a reputation for being very durable and customizable.

Lineup

FPS Models – Corsair has several lineups best suited for FPS gaming under the names SABRE, M65, and Glaive, which have right-handed shapes, and the M55, which has a symmetrical shape. The mice in these lineups feature different button configurations. Some additional features that vary between lineups include polling rates higher than 1000Hz, optical switches, and gyroscopic inputs. Most models are available in wireless and wired-only versions with or without RGB lighting.

MMO Models – Corsair has a single lineup dedicated to MMO gaming called the SCIMITAR. Mice in this lineup feature a 12-button side panel that you can adjust forward or backward to suit your grip type or hand size better. Note that there are no wireless versions within this lineup.

Multi-Genre Models  There are numerous multi-genre lineups in Corsair’s portfolio under the names DARK CORE, IRONCLAW, and NIGHTSWORD. All mice in these lineups have right-handed shapes. Some additional features available on select mice include tunable weights, Qi wireless charging, and polling rates higher than 1000Hz.

Compact Models – Corsair has two compact lineups ideal for smaller hands or portable gaming. These lineups are the HARPOON which has a right-handed shape, and the KATAR, which has a symmetrical shape. Both lineups have wired and wireless versions available with or without RGB lighting.

Buying Guide for the Best Corsair Mice

Even if you have a high-end gaming PC, you won’t be able to get the most out of it if you are not using the right peripherals. This is due to the reason that whether you are a casual gamer or a competitive one, having a high quality and accurate mouse and keyboard is quite important.

And if you are looking for a new mouse, then you can consider one of the best Corsair mice discussed above. For helping you go with the best gaming mouse for your PC, all of these best Corsair mice also have their key aspects and factors given along with them. Moreover, if you wish to learn more about gaming mice, you can also check out this complete guide on best Corsair mice:

1. Number of Buttons

When compared to a standard PC mouse, a gaming mouse primarily differs in the number of buttons it offers. By offering a large number of buttons, gaming mice allow you to remap multiple actions on your mouse which is perfect for gaming. And not just for gaming, if you are going with a Corsair gaming mouse, then you can even remap functions of other programs on these buttons.

As a result, almost all of the best Corsair mice given above offer 6 to 8 buttons. In fact, if you are looking for a MOBA Corsair mouse, then it can even offer up to 17 buttons. Such gaming mice with 17 buttons are perfect for MOBA games which require you to perform multiple in-game actions using the mouse itself.

2. Sensor Sensitivity

Another major difference between standard computer mice and gaming mice is that gaming mice come with high-performance sensors. To be more specific, such high performance mouse sensors run at a much higher sensitivity. This sensitivity rating is given in DPI where a higher DPI results in more sensitivity which generally means that you have a more precise and accurate mouse for gaming. As a result, most Corsair mice available in the market offer 12000 DPI or similar. And if you are going with a high-end FPS gaming mouse from Corsair, then it can even come with 16000 DPI or 18000 DPI which is much better than a standard mouse when it comes to playing games.

3. Connectivity

In order to use any mouse, you will also need to connect it to your computer which is also true for Corsair gaming mice. For the same, most PC mice including the best Corsair mice given above use a wired USB connection.

Such gaming mice are fairly affordable while offering excellent performance. But if you are willing to go with something premium, then you can also find a wireless Corsair gaming mouse. These wireless Corsair mice offer the same performance as wired ones without the hassle of cable management or cable drag. And to ensure that you do not get any lag with a Corsair wireless mouse, all of them use proprietary wireless dongles.

4. Battery Life

Those of you who are going with a wireless Corsair mouse would also know that you will need to charge it for using it since there is no USB connection for power. However, the last thing you would want is your wireless gaming mouse dying in the middle of an online game.

To prevent this, it is highly crucial to go with a wireless gaming mouse which offers a long battery life. Thankfully, that is not an issue with Corsair wireless mice. This is due to the reason that all of them offer 50-60 hours of battery life on a full charge. And since you can also use your wireless Corsair mouse while charging it, this much battery life should be plenty for most.

5. Lighting

Even though it does not have to do anything with the performance of your Corsair mouse, a lot of them come with inbuilt RGB lighting. Such RGB lighting gaming mice can look pretty great and allow you to customize your mouse to any color scheme of your choice. Fortunately, almost all of the best Corsair mice given above include some sort of RGB lighting. You can then change the color and effects of this RGB lighting using the included Corsair software.

6. Weight

These days, you will find a lot of mouse manufacturers bragging about how light their gaming mice are. And this is due to the reason that if you are playing FPS games, it is recommended to use something lightweight. Such lightweight gaming mice offer a free and drag free movement which makes them great for quick flicks and fast movement. Thus, you can find Corsair gaming mice of all weights like 140 grams, 105 grams, and even 90 grams where a lighter 90 gram Corsair mouse will be much better for gaming.

7. Mouse Shape

Whether you are playing games or using your computer for hours on end, you will be holding your mouse for multiple hours at a go. Therefore, it is quite necessary to go with a Corsair mouse which is comfortable and fits your hand comfortably. Since most people in the world are right handed, most Corsair mice also use a right handed shape. However, if you are a left handed person, going with a right handed Corsair mouse can be quite uncomfortable. Due to this issue, a few Corsair mice given above are also ambidextrous since they have a more symmetric shape. By having an ambidextrous mouse, it simply means that both right handed as well as left handed people can use it without feeling uncomfortable.

8. Warranty

One of the great benefits of going with a mainstream and premium computer peripherals brand like Corsair is that they also offer amazing build quality. More importantly, they are also quite reliable and easily last for years without having any issues. But to ensure the same, checking the included warranty of your Corsair mouse can be a great idea. Fortunately, all of the best Corsair gaming mice present in this listicle come backed by a 2 year long warranty. As a result, if you take good care of your Corsair mouse, it can easily last for 3-4 years without any issues.

Browser game regulars understand how important the role of the mouse is in gaining superiority over opponents. Corsair gaming mice are the perfect weapon to make gaming ultra-easy and fun, and give you a guaranteed edge over the other players.

Corsair makes gaming mice for a wide range of consumers, and caters to a variety of expectations from the device. It is clear that with the increase in the functionality of the mouse, its price also increases. You can limit yourself to a budget version of a mouse with an optical sensor, 6 buttons and an extension of 2400 dpi. Or get an unrealistically powerful machine with a laser sensor, 15 keys, the function of creating macros and personalized profiles, an expansion of up to 8200 dpi and an amazing response of 1000 Hz.

Careful attention has been paid to the mouse’s glide capability and weight adjustment options. These mice are durable, due to the aluminum body, which is externally covered with a soft material.

Packaging and contents

The packaging looks quite simple. Modest design in black tones with bright yellow frames and glossy inserts. The information content of the packaging is implemented at a good level with an emphasis on the advantages of the manipulator. Many manufacturers began to abandon transparent boxes, apparently in an attempt to reduce production costs. In our case, this is an indisputable fact, since the Harpoon RGB mouse falls into the segment of inexpensive manipulators.

The front of the package has a large glossy copy of the mouse. At the top of the box is the company logo and icons with the features of the manipulator. The name of the mouse is printed at the bottom of the package with an RGB symbol to indicate that the mouse supports rainbow colored lighting.

The rear side also shows the manipulator with a top view and the designation of all buttons. In addition, here is a description of the main functionality of the manipulator. The sides contain a summary of Harpoon RGB features in six languages.

Opening the box, we find a mouse packed in a dark plastic mold and covered with transparent plastic on top to hold the mouse during transportation.

Includes:

  • Harpoon RGB Gaming Mouse
  • Quick Start Guide

Features and Appearance

forms. The mouse is aimed only at right-handers, and its shape is designed for medium and large hands. The palm completely covers the body of the manipulator, and the Palm grip is the most comfortable.

The shape of the mouse has a slight slope to the right side, and the two main keys are wavy for comfortable finger placement. The top panel is made in the form of a single base and is made of non-staining rough matte black plastic, so the hand does not slip even after long gaming sessions.

The mouse has two ribbed side tabs with a triangular pattern. On the left side are two side thumb buttons. Their location is very good, as pressing the buttons with your thumb occurs without any difficulty and with a noticeable bright sound.

The wheel is located between the two main buttons and is rubberized. The encoder manufactured by Kalih has 24 positions that are clearly felt during use. The scroll wheel is visually wider than other manufacturers and is covered with a rubber ring with a simple pattern. When pressed, a muffled clear click is heard. During use, the play of the wheel is not felt.

Behind the scroll wheel is a sensitivity switch button shaped like a triangle. Once again, we note that the sensitivity adjustment varies from 250 to 6000 DPI and has five fixed positions that can be adjusted using software.

On the back of the mouse is the Corsair logo, which can change color at the request of the owner using proprietary Corsair Utility Engine software.

The lower part of the mouse is a little disappointing due to the fact that the number of legs is reduced to four, and they are indecently narrow. The legs can be removed. There are special grooves for this, however, interchangeable legs are not provided in the kit. In the central part is the Pixart PMW-3320 optical sensor, which has a good history of use in gaming mice from many manufacturers. It’s safe to say that this is the best sensor in the price / quality category.

The 1.8 meter connecting cable does not have a fabric braid and a gold-plated plug, but it holds its shape well and is attached at the base of the mouse on the left side. At the attachment point there is a rigid protection against fractures.

The internals of the manipulator pleasantly surprised us with excellent soldering quality and OMRON D2FC-F-7N(20M) switches on the main buttons with a lifespan of up to 20 million clicks. When pressed, a clear, slightly muffled click is heard. The side buttons and the DPI switch are made on the meringue of the Kailh switches.

Software

Harpoon RGB gaming mouse settings are made through the official software – Corsair Utility Engine, available for download on the official website. The manipulator is configured using four tabs that are responsible for the functionality of the mouse. It is impossible to make a mistake or get lost in the settings. Everything is translated into Russian and is intuitive.

The first tab “Actions” is responsible for setting the keys and makes it possible to link edited macros to pressing any of the six buttons. The Highlights tab will help you customize the color scheme of the manipulator as you wish, using effects and a wide range of colors. By default, the mouse settings are set to bind color to DPI sensitivity.

The DPI section allows you to adjust the DPI sensitivity in steps of 250 and lock the color for each position so you don’t get lost while playing. You can also disable individual items here. The “Performance” tab by and large does not carry any serious load. Here you can adjust the sensitivity of the pointer.

It’s nice to know that all settings are stored in the mouse’s memory, and connecting the mouse to another computer will not cause loss of settings and corresponding difficulties.

Conclusion

Good value for money and modern materials gives the mouse great prospects to take not the last place among eSports manipulators. A popular optical sensor on the market, 20 million switches and practical plastic – all this can be very popular with a buyer at a low price. Although the mouse is comfortable to lay down in a Palm grip, it can also be useful with a Fingertip grip, but this is a matter of taste and preference.

Of course, it’s a little annoying that you can’t adjust the tear-off distance. But during testing, the mouse showed itself well, and the declared low separation distance fully worked out to the fullest.
