Top-loading Bosch washing machine German assembly
Russian home appliance stores are lined with Bosch washing machines. Not all of them are made in Germany, but they are all assembled under the supervision of German engineers. The vast majority of Bosch washing machines that are sold with us today are front-loading, but there are top-loading models.
We decided to pay attention specifically to Bosch top-loading machines and review them. See what came of it.
Not everyone knows, but all Bosch washing machines can be conditionally divided into two groups: front-loading and top-loading. What is the difference between them? Machines with top loading (vertical) have a hatch for loading linen, which is located on the top of the body. Front-loading machines have a hatch that is built into the front wall of the hull. Both those and other washers have their pros and cons, but today we are more interested in the merits of “home helpers” with top loading.
- The loading hatch for these machines is at the optimum height. Elderly people do not need to bend down to load laundry into the drum.
- Operating the machine is also easy, because you don’t have to bend over to press the buttons.
- Cars like this don’t need sophisticated child protection. The control panel is high up and most brats just can’t get there.
- “Verticals” are much more stable than front-loading Bosch machines, even when spinning at high speeds, they rarely “jump” and stagger.
- If the cuff of the front loading washer is damaged, it will leak. Water through the gap between the manhole cover and the hull will rush to the floor, flooding everything around.
Top-loading Bosch washing machines, even if the top cover is damaged, there will be no problems with washing, but it is better that no damage occurs.
Bosch WOR 16155
German made model with obsolete specifications. However, this top-loading washer is still in demand among users. There are 7 washing programs recorded in the control module of the machine: Mixed laundry, Delicate laundry, Silk, Pre-wash, Wool, Stain removal, Intensive wash. Bosch WOR 16155 is quite noisy, it can give out up to 73 dB during the spin cycle, but at the same time it is quite stable.
The car does not have a display, but it also has simple controls, perhaps this is why pensioners love it.
The technique has an impressive set of functions, such as: secondary rinsing, easy ironing, delaying the start of the program. With safety, the machine is also fine, there is protection against water leaks, overflow, imbalance and foaming. Also, a good self-diagnosis system is built into the washer. The height of the case is 90 cm, the width is 40 cm, the depth is 65 cm, and the machine weighs 59 kg.
Bosch WOT 24255
This is a much more modern washing machine with more features. Its loading is 6.5 kg. The spin speed of the laundry can reach 1200 rpm, although the machine is very noisy (76 dB). The washing system has 10 washing programs for all occasions and under any linen. There are also many functions, especially “Easy Ironing” and “Washing without spinning”.
That’s not all The Bosch WOT 24255 set has an informative display, as well as an impressive indicator system, which can be difficult to figure out the first time. The machine has reduced resource consumption and a good security system.
There is even protection against overheating, which often saves the machine from breakdowns. The dimensions of the Bosch WOT 24255 are exactly the same as those of the Bosch WOR 16155.
Bosch WOT 24455
455 model is even more modern. It has a more informative digital display, a 6.5 kg drum and a special spin program that does its job perfectly. The laundry at the output has 53% residual moisture. The set includes 8 excellent washing programs: Silk, Wool, Shirts, Delicates, Hand wash, Mixed laundry, Sportswear, Children’s clothing. Also a bonus is a program called “Super Fast Wash”, in less than 30 minutes she manages to complete the wash, rinse and spin.
This model has the function of loading laundry during washing. This will be convenient for users who constantly forget to put something in the wash. In addition to the standard security package, the “home assistant” has protection against child intervention, but why it is needed is not very clear, it will be difficult for a child to get to the shining control panel anyway.
Bosch WOR 20155
Fans of budget top-loading washers will love the Bosch WOR 20155. Of course, it does not have a display, and this fact scares off some buyers, but it costs much less, and its characteristics are no worse than those of the above models. The drum is loaded with 6 kg, it spins the laundry at a speed of 1000 rpm. 7 programs plus a “gentleman’s” set of functions make the machine quite competitive against the background of the most modern models of washing equipment. It makes even a little less noise than Bosch WOT 24455. Made in Germany and Slovenia.
Bosch WOT 20255
WOT 20255 will cost a little more, but it looks more impressive. It is equipped with a simple display and a very decent set of programs. It is especially worth highlighting the “Anti-allergenic wash” and “Intensive wash”. In anti-allergic mode, the machine rinses the laundry several times, removing even the smallest residue of detergent – allergy sufferers can rest easy.
