Bluetooth speaker with flame lamp
The fantasy of the Chinese in the design of Bluetooth speakers can be said to be limitless.
It seems that you can find a design for almost every taste. In the version considered in the review, the column is supplemented with a lamp with a flame effect, which creates a romantic atmosphere when listening to music, which, in my opinion, may be of interest to those for whom this is important.
However, let’s talk about this column in more detail so that you can form your own opinion.
The device came in a hard cardboard box. The box surprisingly retained its shape when shipped, despite the fact that it was just in a regular shipping envelope.
Perhaps this was influenced not only by the material of the box, but also by additional sealing inserts inside.
In any case, the high probability of maintaining the integrity of the package during shipment allows us to consider this column as an option for a gift.
Specification sticker:
In addition to the speaker itself, the package included only a microUSB charging cable 75 cm long and instructions.
The speaker body is made in the style of a Chinese lantern with a bamboo lattice. The light source is quite logically located inside this grille, and the speaker speaker is located on top.
A sealing rubber ring is glued on the bottom to prevent vibration when the speaker is placed on a flat surface. There is also a 1/4″ tripod mount that fits most modern tripods.
Column dimensions: height – 17 cm, maximum diameter – 9.5 cm.
Above are the control buttons: on / off, ± next track / to the beginning of the current one (or ± volume with a long press), pause / play and a lamp button (in the middle). The lamp turns on regardless of the column.

To propagate sound in a horizontal plane (the speaker itself then looks up), a diffuser is installed. Of the external interfaces, there is only a microUSB port for charging, hidden under a silicone plug.
Column weight – 340 g
The column came completely discharged.
When charging, a little more than 1800 mAh flooded the tester. This is slightly less than stated, taking into account the losses for conversion and backlighting (during the charge, the buttons are highlighted in red, when fully charged, the backlighting of the buttons turns off). Charging current on a standard cable is 1 A. Charging time is about 2 hours.
In operating mode, the backlight of the buttons is blue. During the connection process, it flashes at a high frequency, in the paired state – at a low frequency.
In the list of bluetooth devices, the column appears as Mailian i3 . The connection mode is A2DP only, the headset function is disabled. When the phone receives an incoming call, the speaker pauses playback and no sound is output from the speaker. From this side, the lack of a headset function is a plus – after all, your conversation will not be heard by others.
Judging by the instructions, you can connect two speakers at the same time, then they will work in stereo mode.
Instructions for the column, who are interested
Playback time before turning off at full volume with the backlight on is about 3.5 hours. When the speaker runs out of power, playback stops and the lamp dims, making it look like a dying candle.
As for the sound quality, I think it’s good. At full volume, the speaker does not sound.
As they say, “one can endlessly look at three things: how fire burns, how water flows, and how people work.” Listening to relaxing music in subdued lighting with the backlight turned on creates a rather romantic and cozy atmosphere. So for lovers of romance, this column is the best.

Lovers of high-quality audio now and then scold the Bluetooth path for the insufficient quality of the transmitted sound, and if the receiver is a small inexpensive speaker, then, as a rule, there is no need to talk about sound quality. This is partly why manufacturers are trying to add various additional features to Bluetooth speakers that should make the device more attractive to the user. CKY CK128 – is a wireless speaker that, among other things, can be a cool night light. Let’s go figure it out.

Packaging and Contents
The device comes in a completely nondescript cardboard box with the CKY logo.
Upon delivery, such a box can be crushed, the cardboard lining inside and the cylindrical shape of the column itself saves.
The delivery set is ascetic and simple – a speaker, a microUSB charging cable and instructions. It is assumed that you already have G/U.
That’s the whole set. Well, on the other hand, what else can you expect for $30?
Appearance
The appearance of the column is very good. The only thing that stands out from the concept is the blue speaker grille. The rest of the column is a neat little white cylinder. On the front side of the cylinder are the power and volume buttons, which, when connected to various devices, can start and change tracks. The movement of the buttons is tight and clear.
The charging port and memory card slot are located on the back surface.
At the bottom of the speaker are function keys for changing playback modes and speaker operation, setting a timer and a reset button.
At the top is the most incomprehensible design element for me – the blue speaker grille.
Why blue? Why not make it white? The soul of a designer is darkness. A metal bezel is installed around the grille, touching which you can turn the backlight on and off, as well as change colors.
On the whole, CKY made a fairly elegant device, but, like most Chinese manufacturers, did not pay attention to the little things. It’s not that it’s a huge minus, but it’s annoying. Due to the shape and almost complete whiteness, the column can easily fit into almost any interior.
Sound
In the description of the column on the site, the power of the speaker is 3W, on the column itself it is written that 4W. I don’t know which of them is right, but purely subjectively, the column is very loud. When connected to a laptop and at maximum volume, the speaker just yells so that being in the same room with it personally becomes uncomfortable for me. At maximum volume, the sound thoroughly loses its readability and some third-party noises and creaks appear. This is logical, since, I suspect, in this mode, the speaker works “for wear”, not really caring about the sound quality and its own insides.
If you reduce the sound by 40 percent, then details appear and the main sound picture emerges. Due to its shape and location of the speaker, the speaker itself works as a subwoofer, the sound is appropriate. The frequencies are dominated by bass and low mids. There is a very limited number of high frequencies, which may be good – the sound does not cut the ears up to the maximum values.
It is absolutely impossible to listen to music with such a sound if you want to “absorb” all its shades and nuances, but you can just listen to your favorite track just like that. A decent amount of bass will make it possible to feel a certain “pump” on rhythmic compositions. The column is also good for watching series.
Of course, lovers of high-quality audio or Dolby 5.1\Atmos sound, etc. will not be delighted, which is natural. But what kind of high-quality audio can we talk about for $30?
Operation
When the speaker is turned on, a pleasant female voice in English notifies everyone present about the inclusion and the backlight lights up.
That’s what I liked about her. Single clicks on the metal bezel on top of the speaker allow you to change modes – four levels of warm white, blue, red and color change. In the color change mode, you can fix the backlight on a specific color, or continue changing modes. I must say that the warm white at the speaker is very pleasant, and the levels are chosen very well. The minimum level is enough not to wake the person sleeping next to you and see the contents of the bedside table, and the maximum white level is enough to illuminate the entire room. The rest of the modes are already purely for an amateur, there is no practical use in other colors, unless your imagination throws up options for use.
When turned on, the speaker creates a Bluetooth network called CKY128 and connects without any problems. The buttons on the front of the cylinder can control the audio player, although sometimes they work unpredictably. When connected to an iPad, attempts to turn up the volume caused the video currently being watched to change.
FM radio works well, how well an FM receiver can work in a city without an antenna. Card playback works, cards up to 64GB are supported, but this method has always seemed very complicated to me. And if this can still work in portable speakers for nature, then in this column, designed for home use, the solution is already redundant. The buttons below allow you to loop the track being played and also enable a voice reminder at a specified interval. Useless thing, in my opinion.
The column is charged with a current of about 0.7A in 3 hours and 20 minutes, which corresponds to a capacity of 2200mAh (this is confirmed by some reviewers). At a volume comfortable for watching TV shows at home (30 – 50%), the column worked for about 8 hours, which can be considered an excellent result. Yes, if you cut it to the full in nature, then you can land the battery much faster.
Conclusions
Bluetooth – Chinese stores are full of speakers of all sorts and stripes a little more than completely.
