The new Mac mini has a maximum of 16 GB of RAM: is it a failure?

Tested for a long-many-strongly-multitasking – it works, does not buggy and does not heat up.
And it’s not the eminent Kingston (KTA-MB1333 – “MAC-compatible” as they say on the forums), but quite ordinary TEAM 8 GB SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 MHz (TSD38192M1333C9-E) . The price in Kyiv is $55 per bar. In the reviews on the store’s website, I saw positive feedback from the owners of macbook pros and mini servers.

Running on 2 GB of RAM under 10.7.4 is just disgusting. I have not seen such brakes even on an old minicar from 2006, also with 2 GB of RAM under 10. 6.8.
