MacBook Air – Apple (UK)

With renewed vigor.

With the introduction of the Apple M1 chip, our thinnest and lightest laptop has been completely transformed. The CPU is now up to 3.5 times faster. Graphic – up to 5 times. And thanks to our advanced Neural Engine, machine learning speed has increased up to 9 times. The new MacBook Air lasts longer on a single charge than previous models. And it does not make noise at all, because it does not have a fan. Power has never been so compact.

8-core processor
Better results. The battery is easier.

The M1 chip outperforms all other Apple processors in computing speed. This performance allows you to perform the most resource-intensive tasks on your MacBook Air, such as editing photos and videos like a pro, or playing games with complex graphics. But the 8-core processor in the M1 chip isn’t just up to 3.5 times faster than the previous generation of processors 2 – it rationally distributes tasks between performance and efficiency cores. Efficiency cores easily handle everyday activities while using ten times less energy.

CPU

8-core processor The 8-core processor in the M1 chip is the most powerful we have ever created. It includes four performance cores and four efficiency cores that distribute the load among themselves when executing complex multi-threaded processes. This allows you to significantly improve the ratio of performance and energy consumption – and thereby extend the battery life.

Four performance cores The CPU performance cores are the fastest cores for low power chips 3 , and the Apple M1 has four such cores. Compile in Xcode in significantly less time. Record, mix and master studio quality with Logic Pro, where scores, plug-ins and virtual instruments are also available. Create stunning images in Adobe Lightroom with amazing speed and responsiveness.

Four Efficiency Cores Four efficiency cores handle everyday activities with ease and use ten times less energy. These cores perform simpler tasks, offloading performance cores and allowing them to direct their full power to complex resource-intensive processes.

Cooling is what you need. Advanced cooling components deliver 50 percent more air even at low fan speeds. And when performing many everyday tasks, they do not turn on at all – Apple chips work so efficiently.

Volumes at speed. The new MacBook Pros feature SSDs up to 8TB with incredible read speeds of 7.4GB/s 23 —more than 2x faster than the previous generation. 24 With this disc, you can instantly open 8K videos and store hundreds of thousands of RAW photos.

Powerful overhaul.

The new MacBook Pro is the first to feature a system-on-a-chip designed specifically for professional notebooks. These laptops often use high-power processors, discrete GPUs, and many individual, specialized chips. Here, the CPU, GPU, I/O controllers, and the Neural Engine are part of a single system on a chip with shared memory. As a result, the M1 Pro and M1 Max not only easily handle resource-intensive tasks that were previously impossible for laptops, but also allow you to work incredibly long without recharging.

Linked by one chip. Many computers copy the same data multiple times over slow interfaces. But not the new MacBook Pro. Its CPU and GPU share the same memory. This means that all components of the chip directly access the memory and the data stored in it, without copying them, and therefore everything works faster and more efficiently.

XDR pleases.

Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve

Liquid Retina XDR. This is the first Mac notebook display with extreme dynamic range and a million-to-one contrast ratio. HDR photos, games and videos look great on this screen. Light areas are clearly visible, all details in dark areas are clearly transmitted, colors are bright and natural. Each display is factory calibrated to support professional HDR grading, photography, design and prepress modes.

ProMotion. These are the first Macs to support ProMotion. It makes everything work quickly and smoothly, from scrolling through web pages to moving in PC games, while using less power. The maximum screen refresh rate is 120Hz. The actual value changes adaptively, adjusting to the speed of movement of objects on the laptop screen. And for video editing, you can choose a fixed refresh rate that matches the recording settings.

display case. The case thickness is less than 4mm. That’s enough to accommodate the superb display of a MacBook Pro.

Diodes mini-LED. Thousands of diodes are grouped into independent local dimming zones. In this way, optimum brightness and contrast are achieved.

Optical films and diffusers. Seven films and diffusers effectively shape the beams of light, helping to make the display incredibly thin.

LCD panel. The active area of the screen reaches almost to the very edges of the case. The frame is up to 60 percent thinner, which means there is more room for content.

One Second – HD 1080p Camera.

Being connected is more important than ever today. So we doubled the resolution of the MacBook Pro’s camera to 1080p and increased the aperture to let in more light. With a larger sensor with more effective pixels, the camera delivers twice the image quality in low light.

Three studio grade microphones. The microphones in these models have up to 60 percent lower noise threshold, so your MacBook Pro can pick up even the quietest sounds. And a system of three directional microphones helps ensure that your voice always sounds loud and clear.

Six speaker system. Four resonance-suppressing woofers expand the sound range by up to half an octave and reproduce up to 80 percent more bass. Efficient tweeters reproduce vocals more clearly and fully.

Spatial audio. When playing music and video with Dolby Atmos audio, the six-speaker system and advanced algorithms enable MacBook Pro to shape spatial audio for rich surround sound.

Everything will be connected to you.

SDXC card slot allows you to transfer photos and videos. HDMI port – connect TVs and monitors. The 3.5mm output automatically recognizes high impedance headphones and adjusts the settings. Power and keyboard – a couple of the Pro level.

The Magic Keyboard for the first time on the MacBook Pro features a set of full-size mechanical function keys. Such keys are especially appreciated by professional users because of the tactile sensations. You can quickly activate Spotlight Search, Dictation, and Do Not Disturb. In addition, the Touch ID key now has a special embossed ring to help you place your finger correctly to unlock your Mac.
